SUMMARY:Fiddlers Concert Series -- Seth Mulder & Midnight Run
DESCRIPTION:Seth Mulder & Midnight Run is traditional bluegrass music at its best. Hailing from the heart of the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg\, Tennessee\, the band delivers a high-energy show packed with nostalgic entertainment\, tight harmonies and top-tier musicianship — all built around a curated set list of original material and deep-cut covers.\nTheir latest release\, “Coming On Strong\,” showcases the group at the height of their powers — blending hard-driving originals with heartfelt ballads. The album has made a major impact in the bluegrass world\, with eight of its 12 tracks spending multiple weeks or months on the Bluegrass Today Weekly and Monthly Airplay Charts. Songs such as “Looking Past the Pain (The Cowboy Song)\,” “Old Reuben No. 1” and “Gilgarry’s Glen” climbed to top positions\, earning national airplay and widespread industry recognition.\nThe band’s previous album\, In Dreams I Go Back (Mountain Fever Records)\, was released in September\, 2022 and featured the SPBGMA 2023 Song of the Year\, “My\, My\, My\,” along with other charting singles “One More Night” (2023’s fourth most-played song on bluegrass radio) and “Carolina Line.”\nIncorporating elements of bluegrass\, country\, folk and roots music\, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run are devoted to preserving the legacy of traditional bluegrass while carrying the torch forward with fresh energy and original songwriting. They honor the genre’s past while pushing it ahead — writing new material and presenting old favorites in a way that feels entirely their own.
