Created by Florence downtown businesses & community partners, Handy on the Plaza is a celebrated music tradition that brings nationally acclaimed artists & regional favorites to the birthplace of the Father of the Blues. It’s 5:30-10:30 p.m., Wednesday & Thursday, July 15 & 16 and 5:30-11 p.m., Friday & Saturday, July 17 & 18.
Each of the four evenings honors the enduring legacy of W.C. Handy while celebrating the vibrant music culture that continues to shape downtown Florence. This year’s headliners are Lamont Landers, Cedric Burnside and Funk Brotherhood, with additional performances from Seratones, JRNL, Sunny War, Taylor Hollingsworth, Parlor Greens and Sam & The Big Boys.
