Village School Work Day

Join us as we continue our efforts to restore the Village One School with the Village School Foundation. Village One’s school building is a World War One era school and community building and is one of the most historically significant buildings in north Alabama. The Village School Foundation seeks to repair the building so it may continue to serve as a community and educational resource. Read more about its history here.

Each person may contribute in a way they are most comfortable. We’ll be working to clean, paint or organize the building interior. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty — such as jeans — and wear closed-toe shoes. Feel free to bring work gloves, as well. We’ll provide supplies & direction, so no experience necessary. If you’re not able to stay the whole morning, please stop by anyway to say “hi” and see what we’re up to! Refreshments provided!
