Nineteen of the 50 bird watching sites that make up the North Alabama Birding Trail are located throughout the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area. The dense woodlands, open fields, rivers and lakes in the region are home to a wide range of eastern woodland birds, waterfowl and other wildlife.
