Wichahpi Commemorative Stone Wall (Tom’s Wall)

Lauderdale County resident Tom Hendrix spent more than 30 years building a stone wall in memory of his great-great-grandmother, a Yuchi Indian who was part of the American Indian removal to Oklahoma. The wall is the largest un-mortared stone wall in the United States.

In Florence heading northwest on Alabama 20, turn north onto the Natchez Trace Parkway, take Lauderdale 8 exit, and turn right.
