MSNHA Recreation
One of MSNHA’s missions is to expand outdoor-recreation opportunities. We want everyone to discover & enjoy northwest Alabama’s natural beauty and learn to be good stewards of our waterways & land. MSNHA Recreation Events are those we directly facilitate.
- League of Outdoor Women
  The League of Outdoor Women is a MSNHA program that help educates women about camping, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor activities. Visit League of Outdoor Women to learn more.
- Operation Pollination
  The National Park Service launched Operation Pollination to focus attention on the global loss of habitat for bees and other pollinators. Local events include educational workshops and native-habitat restoration workdays. Visit Operation Pollination to learn more.
- Tennessee RiverLine
  The Tennessee RiverLine celebrates the Tennessee River, connects people & communities and catalyzes economic development & healthy lifestyles in river communities through outdoor experiences. Local events include free community paddles with our RiverLine fleet & river cleanups. Visit Tennessee RiverLine to learn more.
MSNHA Sponsored Events
Through grants as well as partnerships & sponsorships, MSNHA directly funds many projects & events within our six counties of Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone & Morgan. Sponsored events are linked to our three main themes: the Tennessee River, music & Native American heritage.
