Passport to Your National Parks

One of the most popular ways to collect and preserve memories of visiting America’s national parks is through the Passport To Your National Parks®. National park enthusiasts fill their “passports” with cancellations and stamps from across the country. As a program of the National Park Service, the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area is eligible to participate and offers inked cancellations at several sites throughout its six counties. Together, these locations will help you explore and understand northwest Alabama’s cultural heritage. From humble birthplaces of people who went on to change the world to innovative and lively museums to quiet spots for contemplating history, these places tell MSNHA’s—and America’s—stories. Go here to learn more about the passport program, which is part of the non-profit association Eastern National’s initiatives to support national parks.

Scroll down for a map of our sites & links to each location. Site owners & staff look forward to welcoming Passport To Your National Parks® visitors. Introduce yourself, take some time to look around and then post pics & selfies with our Passport To Your National Parks® hashtag—#msnhapassport—on your favorite social-media platform. (Don’t forget to tag us & the site you visited.) One word of advice: If you’re making a special trip to a site, call or email beforehand to make sure it will be open for your visit. Happy passporting!
